More associations?

Yes, there are many many many more associations than the national association. It’s endless really. Associations or organization are often a playground for therapists, providing us many options for growth, development, and some fun.

Here are a few I am familiar with.

My fav…. the Associate for Play Therapy ….ahhh this is such an amazing group. APT oversees the credentialing process for being a registered play therapist (RPT) School based RPT and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. Those are trademarked. APT offers a free student membership here…why would you not take advantage of this?? APT also has state branches so you can get connected and get those in person contact hours! Play therapy is mostly experiential and this is something that is set apart, you change becoming a play therapist. It’s an amazing journey becoming an RPT.

ICEEFT For Emotionally focused practitioners. This is the ONLY place to be. This is the EFT hub. All your questions about becoming certified and/or trained in EFT can be answered here.

Attachment Attachment gurus…this place if for you.. all the things related to attachment can be found here. This is open to parents and other disciplines as well.
